We are sorry, but our visitor centre remains closed for the time being. We know that there are many people who would love to come to visit us.  For the moment, we must concentrate our investment and our efforts on building the space communications business at Goonhilly and that has to be our priority.

GES Ltd is a relatively new company and we are achieving success winning contracts with all of the major satellite operators. We are working with 14 different universities. We have plans to develop private Deep Space Communications and a mission to the moon with our partners SSTL and ESA. We are an Enterprise Zone and key partners in the Newquay Spaceport Cornwall bid.  We also work closely with UK Space Agency, Sat Apps Catapult and many organisations in the space sector such as NASA and ESA.

We are confident that this work will lead to us expanding our workforce in the coming 12 months and Goonhilly will be a major contributor to the UK space economy.

When GES Ltd acquired Goonhilly in 2014, the exhibits in the visitor centre had been removed. This means that it is not a straight-forward task to re-open the doors. In any case, we would want to tell our own story – and that of the amazing UK space industry.  There are a number of factors that will affect the timing of the redevelopment of the visitor centre – several of which are not in our immediate control. However, we are passionate about our company and redeveloping Goonhilly and ultimately, we will find a way to re-open the visitor centre when we can.

In the meantime, we will concentrate on growing the business, creating new employment and ensuring that Goonhilly has a long and exciting future in the UK Space Sector.
