Goonhilly manufactures low to medium volume specialist equipment for the space and communications sectors. 

We carry out design, assembly, integration and test (AIT).

Our design engineering team includes electronic and electrical engineers, software engineers, and mechanical engineers. We also have extensive experience in project and programme management as well as all the functions required to manage and deliver complex manufacturing projects.

Our facilities include CAD facilities, cryogenic labs, precision assembly and test equipment, RF assembly and test facilities, antenna range testing, thermal cycling / soak testing. We have precision calibrated antennas for sky testing of equipment either using radio stars, or commercial communication satellites.

We undertake a range of design and manufacturing work ranging from complete turn-key earth stations (antenna, RF and steering equipment, baseband and measurement equipment, design, assembly, installation, commissioning, training, documentation and support), satellite simulators (simulating CCSDS commands in various noise and latency environments), antenna arrays, software defined radios, and various test equipment.

Satellite Services

Goonhilly provides reliable, cost-effective and secure uplink and broadcast services. We can uplink to any commercial satellite at C, Ku or Ka Band in the longitude range 70ºE-0º-80ºW.
